Experience shaped by the retail shelf.
We have worked through the evolution from simple bulk packaging to double blisters, folding cartons and retail displays—hearing market feedback firsthand and refining packaging with our customers.
One longstanding customer began working with us from the ground up. Today, its flashlight brand is sold through major U.S. retailers including Best Buy, Lowe’s and AutoZone. Growing alongside customers like this has given us practical insight into retail expectations, production and delivery.
Letting the product speak for itself.
A folding work light was selling poorly in a fully enclosed double blister. We suggested securing part of the light while leaving the rest accessible, so shoppers could try its brightness, folding action and adjustable angles.
After the packaging change, sales of that product nearly doubled.
We have also seen good products struggle because elaborate packaging pushed costs—and retail prices—too high. Finding the right balance between presentation, protection and cost has been part of our work from the beginning.
Making our experience accessible.
We established Atom in the United States in 2015. Working more closely with local manufacturers, retailers and foodservice businesses revealed familiar obstacles: too many factories to choose from, samples that never arrived, and production that did not match what had been approved.
We knew our factory relationships, purchasing power and experience could help. Since 2023, we have expanded our packaging work with U.S. businesses, from custom pouches to color boxes and countertop displays.
Thinking through the details.
Checking what gets made.
Our China-based QC team of more than ten people checks production against agreed specifications and approved samples. Depending on the project, we coordinate sampling inspections, functional checks and packaging performance tests.
We also raise questions customers may not know to ask—about material suitability, food-contact testing needs, and protection during shipping and warehousing—and help arrange the appropriate checks.
Today, we help turn packaging ideas into practical production plans, coordinate suppliers, follow up on quality and manage shipping and import arrangements, with the full delivered cost in view.
